Updated ERS guidelines on sotatercept in the risk-based management of PAH
Presented at ERS Congress 2026 by Task Force co-chair Professor Gábor Kovács, the updated ERS guidelines recommend sotatercept for PAH patients remaining at intermediate-low, intermediate-high, or high risk despite background therapy (high-certainty evidence). Evidence was insufficient for low-risk patients. The algorithm integrates sotatercept into risk-based escalation with safety monitoring.
